The Behavior Intervention Specialist works with students with disabilities, their parents, and the educational staff to develop positive behavior interventions. The specialist assesses student behavior, develops individual positive behavior plans, and provides ongoing analysis of student behavior. As a Behavior Intervention Case Manager (BICM), the specialist can conduct functional analysis assessments. The specialist provides consultation to staff and parents and direct service to students who require specialized behavioral support in order to benefit from their educational placement.
