 Early Childhood Special Education
Added Authorization
(ECSEAA)

The program is comprised of four courses which span the length of the school year.  Each course contains weekly readings, discussion questions and assignments.  In addition to the weekly activities there are projects which are conducted in the field. The program components are as follows:

  • Courses One and Two each require 15 hours of fieldwork and 32 total hours of classroom contact (via discussion questions and assignments)
  • Course Three is taken concurrently with Course Four (Course Four is Supervised Field Experience).  These two courses have 36 hours of classroom contact and the total required for field experience is a 30-hour project in Early Childhood Special Education

The ECSEAA program includes 68 hours of classroom contact and 60 hours of fieldwork.

 

Orthopedic Impairment

(OIAA)

The program is comprised of four courses which span the length of the school year.  Each course contains weekly readings, discussion questions and assignments.  In addition to the weekly activities there are projects which are conducted in the field. The program components are as follows: 

  • Included in the required assignments are fieldwork assignments. Courses One and Four each require 10 hours of fieldwork each. Course Two and Course Three, each require 20 hours of fieldwork. The total required for field work is 60 hours.
  • Course One and Course Four require 20 hours of classroom contact each and Course Two and Three require 40 hours of classroom contact each. The total number of classroom contact hours is 120 hours.
