Youth Development

All districts in Madera County are offered assistance in the development, implementation, and monitoring of drug, alcohol, and tobacco use prevention education and safe schools programs. Regional and state information and materials are distributed to all districts. Other prevention and youth development materials that are proven effective and/or scientifically validated are available for checkout through the  ERS.  Various specialized trainings are offered to students, teachers and the community throughout the county including peer helping, conflict resolution, resiliency, integrated prevention curricula, tolerance and diversity, asset development, character development and leadership skills.  For more information regarding the Youth Development Programs, contact Elizabeth Rodriguez via email at erodriguez@maderacoe.k12.ca.us or at (559) 662-3842.
