The 2017-2018 Madera County Academic Pentathlon will be held on March 9 and 17, 2018.
The Academic Pentathlon is a middle school event consisting of five subject areas: essay, fine arts, literature, science, and social science. Students also compete in a Super Quiz with questions from all test subject areas.
On Friday, March 9, students will participate in the essay, literature, fine arts, science, and social science tests at SCCCD, Madera Center.
On Saturday, March 17, students will participate in the Super Quiz at Ranchos Middle School beginning at 9:00 a.m. The awards ceremony will be held immediately following the Super Quiz and the public is invited to attend.
Participating schools include: Chawanakee Academy, Coarsegold Elementary School, Eastin-Arcola School, Howard Elementary School, Jack G. Desmond Middle School, La Vina Elementary School, Martin Luther King, Jr. Middle School, Mountain Home School, North Fork Elementary School, Oak Creek Intermediate School, Ranchos Middle School, Rivergold Elementary School, Sherman Thomas STEM Academy, Spring Valley Elementary School, Thomas Jefferson Middle School, Wasuma Elementary School.
