A Club Designed for... EVERYONE!
This year, Club YES middle school students will create a club known as the Friends of Rachel (FOR) Club. Students will recruit members, focus on activities that can make a big difference for many and bring the news about a club designed for... EVERYONE!

The FOR Club involves students in 5 major goals that reflect Rachel’s Code of Ethics:
1. Look for the best in others.
2. Dream Big – with a focus on the Power of Writing Personal Goals.
3. Choose positive influences.
4. Shock people with kindness through the power of a single positive act.
5. Tell others what they mean to you – before it is too late.
Students will learn leadership skills as they work to create positive school environments. They will participate in Service Learning Projects of their choice. They will work with the Madera County Office of Education Youth Development Programs to share the FOR Club with students at elementary sites.
On August 8, 2011, several students and middle school Club YES staff, attended a training to learn how to create this club at their sites. They learned more about Rachel’s life and were able to hear about the good that these clubs bring to schools and the community. To find out more about the FOR Club.... ask a 7th or 8th grade student in the Club YES After School program!
